Van Hook has taught transcultural communications and global affairs for twenty years. He’s been a newspaper columnist\, radio reporter\, and television bureau chief in Moscow; and has directed public education programs through the United States Agency for International Development\, VISTA\, and Head Start. He has a PhD specializing in transcultural learning\, and is published in scholarly journals including SAGE\, and UNESCO’s Prospects.
