Probability Theory & Statistics represent something very basic to human existence and are indispensable to scientific rigor. This presentation will survey some of the stepping stones that form the basis of computational mathematics commonly used in analysis of data from experimentation. This includes some mathematical history and some set theoretic considerations for basic statistics with emphasis on discrete sample (outcome) space.
