Galaxy Formation
Galaxies are the basic building blocks of the universe at large scales, and understanding of their formation and evolution is one of the major goals of cosmology. I will describe our theoretical picture of the early galaxy assembly, the first stars and black holes, and the observational evidence that we have. James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) may help us learn more about these processes.
